The Shot Scope LM1 is the cheapest no-subscription launch monitor on the market at $199. Five core metrics — ball speed, club speed, smash factor, carry, and total distance — measured by single-array K-band Doppler radar. Editorial reception has been strong (Breaking Eighty 9/10, Golf Monthly highly positive, Plugged In Golf positive), but ownership data is still thin five weeks after the March 26 launch. The big caveat: the LM1 has zero integration with simulator software (no GSPro, no E6 Connect, no FSX). It's a standalone practice and range tool, not a sim launch monitor. If you want simulator capability, the Garmin R10 ($499.99) or Rapsodo MLM2PRO ($699) start the upgrade path.
