FlightScope Mevo+ Review

By The GolfSimulatorSource Team | Updated:

Quick Verdict

The FlightScope Mevo+ at clearance pricing ($1,099) is the best value radar launch monitor available. No FlightScope subscription fees, 12 E6 Connect courses included, and GSPro works without paying extra. The catch: it needs 16+ feet of room depth (7–9 ft behind the ball), metallic dots or RCT balls for indoor spin, and it's officially discontinued. If you have the space and can find stock, the 5-year TCO is unbeatable.

Who Should Buy the FlightScope Mevo+

GSPro users who don't want an annual FlightScope subscription. The Mevo+ + GSPro combo saves ~$2,500 over 5 years vs. the Bushnell Launch Pro Gold + GSPro. No FlightScope annual fee at all.

Buyers who want E6 Connect without extra fees. 12 E6 courses (including Pebble Beach) come in the box — BLP can't use E6 at all.

Outdoor golfers who also want a home simulator. The portable Doppler radar design works great at the range, in the backyard, and in the simulator — a genuinely multi-environment device.

UK and Canadian buyers. No region lock, available through local authorized retailers. Unlike the US-only Bushnell Launch Pro.

Buyers with 16+ feet of room depth who want maximum value. At $1,099 clearance with no annual fees, nothing else comes close on 5-year TCO.

Most Praised

  • No FlightScope subscription fees — saves ~$2,500 over 5 years vs. BLP Gold for GSPro users
  • Outdoor accuracy closely matches TrackMan for ball speed and carry
  • Broadest software compatibility: E6, GSPro, TGC, Awesome Golf — no extra FlightScope fees
  • E6 Connect with 12 courses included free in the box (Pebble Beach, St Andrews)
  • FlightScope firmware updates have continuously improved accuracy post-launch
  • No region lock — works globally (UK, Canada, international)

Most Criticized

  • Space requirement: 7–9 ft behind ball = 16+ ft room depth minimum
  • Indoor spin requires metallic dots or RCT balls ($55/dozen) — added friction and cost
  • TGC 2019 integration has persistent bugs — community says avoid, use GSPro instead
  • No on-device display — requires phone/tablet/PC for every shot
  • Battery only 1.5–2 hrs during active simulator play
  • USB-Mini charging (not USB-C) — the Mevo Gen 2 successor fixed this
  • Carry distance tends to read 4–12 yards shorter than other devices
  • Officially discontinued — limited remaining stock, uncertain future firmware updates
"I can use GSPro without paying FlightScope $499 a year. That alone made the switch from BLP worth it."
GolfWRX community member
"Three year review: the Mevo+ is meaningfully better now than at purchase. FlightScope keeps improving it via firmware."
GolfSimulatorForum — 3-year owner review
"At $1,099 with E6 included and no subscription, the 5-year math is unbeatable. Just need the room depth."
